Mike returned my call for assistance within a few hours, he inspected the damage from the recent storm and sent me an estimate within hours. The work was completed the next day just ahead of more storms. He explained the entire process and was very professional. I hope I don’t need his services again anytime soon, but would not hesitate to trust the job to his team.Posted on Google![]()

Tycho Solutions recently replaced the original tile roof on our 23 year old residence. We could not be more pleased with their level of professionalism and the quality of work. Mike and Brock were great in explaining the process, the type of materials used, and what to expect. Their crew was cordial, friendly, and efficient. At the end of each day they used a magnetic device to retrieve discarded nails and fasteners, made sure all debris was inside their dumpster, and used a blower to eliminate the inevitable dust that results from replacing a roof. At the end of the project, they did a roof-top inspection of the work to make sure all details were addressed. We felt their pricing was very reasonable with top-notch customer service. We have no hesitation to refer them to friends!
Tempe’s building stock splits between older single-story homes near downtown finished in traditional three-coat stucco and the taller, tighter infill and multifamily construction rising near the university. Every elevation faces direct desert sun for most of the day, and that heat load dries acrylic finish coats and stucco’s cure window faster than the manufacturer’s spec sheet assumes.
Drywall problems show up on the interior side: garages and unconditioned rooms in new builds swing wide in temperature and open taped seams if mud doesn’t get full cure time between coats. Tight lots compress drainage, so stucco near grade needs a properly lapped weep screed to shed splashback.
We sequence cure times around Tempe’s heat and monsoon windows and detail drainage at grade so paint, stucco and drywall hold up to full desert exposure.
From tight-lot infill homes to multi-story builds near the university, Tempe’s new construction calls for a paint, drywall and stucco crew that scopes the whole job under one schedule.
As a licensed stucco contractor in Tempe, Tycho applies three-coat stucco over new framing and matches color coat and texture to the project’s approved design package before the exterior paint goes on. We detail foam trim, expansion joints and weep screeds up front so the finish holds through monsoon season and the next decade of desert sun instead of cracking at year two.
Tycho’s house painters in Tempe work new single-family builds and full repaints, applying multiple coat systems on walls, trim and cabinetry with products suited to the desert’s UV load. Every job is sequenced around the builder’s punch list or, on an existing home, around Tempe’s heat so coats cure fully between passes instead of flashing in direct sun.
As a commercial painting contractor in Tempe, Tycho handles paint, drywall and stucco for new retail, office and multifamily construction, from shell space to Class A buildouts. Work is scheduled around the general contractor’s build timeline and inspection windows, with crews sized to cover large square footage without slipping the project’s completion date.
New construction painting in Tempe means timing interior coats after drywall finish and before final trim, and exterior coats after stucco color coat cures, all synced to the builder’s closing schedule. Tycho scopes both phases under one crew so paint never becomes the trade holding up a certificate of occupancy or a homeowner’s walkthrough.
Builders and homeowners in Tempe bring Tycho in because one licensed crew scopes paint, drywall and stucco under a single schedule instead of three separate subcontractors. That means one point of contact for sequencing, one warranty conversation, and a crew that already knows how Tempe’s heat and monsoon timing affect the work.
A written workmanship warranty backs the paint, drywall and stucco system we install on your Tempe project, separate from any manufacturer coverage on materials.
One scheduler sequences your paint, drywall and stucco crews around Tempe’s monsoon window so trades don’t collide or wait on each other.
We spec finish coats and drywall compounds rated for Tempe’s heat load, not generic products pulled off a standard supply list.
Tycho carries Arizona ROC #364735 with full bonding and insurance, so your Tempe project is covered on paper, not just in conversation.
Tempe’s housing stock runs from postwar single-story homes near downtown to the dense new infill and multi-story student and multifamily construction closer to campus and the light rail corridor. Older homes are almost always traditional hard-coat stucco over wood or masonry framing, while newer builds mix synthetic and traditional systems depending on the developer’s design package. That split matters because the two systems cure, crack and repaint on different timelines.
The failure point on most Tempe jobs is the color coat and the caulk joints around windows, expansion joints and roof-to-wall transitions, not the lath or scratch coat underneath. Direct desert sun bakes the finish coat’s elastomeric properties out early, and monsoon wind-driven rain finds any joint that wasn’t sealed before the color coat went on. Interior drywall fails at the same joints, where taped seams open if the mud didn’t get full cure time before texture.
Several of Tempe’s planned communities set color palettes and stucco texture ranges through an architectural committee, and builders working near campus face their own city design overlays on commercial and multifamily facades. We pull the approved palette and texture spec before ordering material, so a homeowner or general contractor isn’t stuck repainting or rescheduling stucco after the fact.

Tycho holds Arizona ROC #364735 and carries full bonding and insurance on every Tempe paint, drywall and stucco project.
One crew scopes paint, drywall and stucco together so Tempe builders aren’t juggling three separate subcontractor schedules.
Finish coats and compounds are matched to Tempe’s heat load and monsoon exposure, not a generic statewide spec.
We sequence around Tempe’s monsoon season and builder walkthroughs so painting and stucco never hold up your closing date.
Interior painting pricing depends on square footage, ceiling height, the number of coats and whether cabinetry or trim work is included, so we do not quote a number until we’ve walked the space. What we can tell you upfront is that we build one quote for the full paint scope rather than pricing room by room, so there are no surprise add-ons once work starts.
A small patch on a stucco crack almost never matches the surrounding texture or color coat, and it doesn’t address whatever caused the crack, usually a control joint that was never cut or a settling lot. As a stucco contractor in Tempe, we generally recommend a full re-coat of the affected elevation so the repair blends and the underlying cause gets addressed instead of resurfacing again in two years.
Yes. Parapet walls on flat and low-slope commercial roofs take direct sun and pooling runoff at the roof-to-wall transition, so the stucco and coating there need a tighter seal than a standard elevation. On new stucco installation in Tempe commercial projects, we detail the parapet cap and coping flashing before the color coat goes on so water doesn’t get behind the finish.
Yes. As a commercial painting contractor in Tempe we work on new retail, office and multifamily construction, from shell space through Class A buildouts, scheduled around the general contractor’s build timeline. We also handle the drywall installation in Tempe commercial interiors need before paint, so the sequence stays under one crew instead of three separate trades.
Yes. Tycho operates under Arizona ROC #364735 and is bonded and insured, and our house painters in Tempe and stucco crews pull the permits a project needs, typically for new stucco installation or drywall fire-rated assemblies on shared walls. We handle that paperwork as part of the project schedule so it doesn’t fall on the homeowner or builder.
New construction painting in Tempe is sequenced with the builder, applied after drywall finish and before final trim, on a schedule tied to the closing date rather than the homeowner’s calendar. Exterior painting in Tempe on an existing home works around monsoon timing instead, and we prep and caulk joints that have already weathered a season or more of desert sun before any coat goes on.
