Mike returned my call for assistance within a few hours, he inspected the damage from the recent storm and sent me an estimate within hours. The work was completed the next day just ahead of more storms. He explained the entire process and was very professional. I hope I don’t need his services again anytime soon, but would not hesitate to trust the job to his team.Posted on Google![]()

Tycho Solutions recently replaced the original tile roof on our 23 year old residence. We could not be more pleased with their level of professionalism and the quality of work. Mike and Brock were great in explaining the process, the type of materials used, and what to expect. Their crew was cordial, friendly, and efficient. At the end of each day they used a magnetic device to retrieve discarded nails and fasteners, made sure all debris was inside their dumpster, and used a blower to eliminate the inevitable dust that results from replacing a roof. At the end of the project, they did a roof-top inspection of the work to make sure all details were addressed. We felt their pricing was very reasonable with top-notch customer service. We have no hesitation to refer them to friends!
Carefree sits several hundred feet above the valley floor, so exterior coatings take a harder day to night swing than in Phoenix or Mesa. Stucco expands under afternoon sun then contracts fast once the sun drops low behind the surrounding peaks, and that cycle opens hairline cracks at window returns, parapet caps, and foam trim joints faster than lower-elevation builds.
Add decomposed granite dust that scours south and west elevations in the wind, and standard acrylic topcoats chalk and fade years before a client expects a repaint. On new construction we build the assembly to handle that swing from day one instead of coating over it and hoping.
On new Carefree builds we prime, coat, and seal for the day to night temperature swing before the first coat ever goes on.
From open concept great rooms to high ceilings and custom trim, our interior painting crews finish new Carefree homes with precise prep, smooth walls, and durable coatings built for daily desert living.
Interior painting in Carefree new builds runs alongside cabinet install and trim carpentry, not after the homeowner moves in. We spray primer and finish coats on drywall, prime and hand-finish stained or painted trim, and coordinate around HVAC and electrical rough-in so the crew sequence never backs up the closing date.
Exterior painting in Carefree usually lands on the punch list at the same time as final grading and hardscape, so we coordinate the color and sheen walkthrough with the builder before scaffolding comes down. We back-roll the field coat by hand at parapets and returns so brush and roller lines do not read differently once the sun hits the wall.
As a stucco contractor in Carefree, we run lath, scratch coat, and brown coat to code depth before any texture goes on, then let each coat cure on its own schedule instead of compressing the process to save a week. On a market where a rushed brown coat is the most common source of hairline map-cracking two summers later, that sequencing is the actual product.
House painters in Carefree deal with wider swings in surface temperature than crews closer to the valley floor, so timing matters as much as technique. We schedule spray and back-roll work for the cooler morning window and avoid coating stucco or trim once wall surface temperatures climb past the range the coating manufacturer allows.
Carefree builders bring us in during framing, not after drywall, because sequencing paint and stucco around the same crew schedule as electrical rough-in and window install keeps a custom build on its permit timeline instead of waiting for trades to circle back.
Written workmanship coverage on every Carefree install, backed by manufacturer-rated coating systems built to hold up against direct desert sun and wide elevation temperature swings.
One crew schedule for stucco, paint, and drywall on your Carefree build, coordinated with your general contractor so trades stop waiting on each other.
Elastomeric and acrylic coatings selected for Carefree’s higher UV load and cooler nights, not the standard valley-floor spec pulled off a shelf.
Fully licensed, bonded, and insured under Arizona ROC #364735, with crews who carry that coverage onto every Carefree jobsite.
Carefree’s housing stock skews toward larger custom lots built in phases over the last three decades, many with detached casitas or guest quarters added years after the main house went up. That mix means a paint and stucco crew is regularly matching an addition’s coating system to a decade-old original, not starting from a blank pad, and getting the texture and sheen to read as one job across two build eras.
The failure point on most of these homes is not the field of the wall, it is the transitions: foam trim reveals, control joints, parapet caps, and the stucco-to-window interface. Those spots move independently of the main wall plane as temperatures swing, and a topcoat applied without the right elastomeric flex at those joints cracks there first, years before the flat wall shows any wear.
Carefree’s larger lots and lower-density design guidelines lean toward earth-tone, low-sheen finishes and limit bright or reflective colors more than the tighter subdivisions closer to the valley floor. We work from the approved palette range for the lot rather than a generic contractor swatch book, and we build that constraint into the coating spec before the first color goes up, not after an inspection flags it.

Paint and stucco systems specified for Carefree’s higher UV exposure and wider day to night temperature range.
We sequence stucco and paint around your general contractor’s Carefree build schedule instead of making your project wait.
Custom Carefree builds and whole-property repaints finish on the schedule and budget we quote, no surprise change orders.
Every quote for interior painting in Carefree and exterior painting in Carefree depends on square footage, ceiling height, number of coats, and whether we are matching an addition to existing color and texture. We do not publish a flat number because a single-story spec home and a multi-wing custom build with ten foot ceilings are not the same job, but we walk every property and put a written number in front of you before any crew shows up.
As a stucco contractor in Carefree, we will tell you honestly when a crack is cosmetic and when the brown coat underneath has already failed. A patch on an actively moving wall looks fine for a season, then telegraphs back through the new topcoat, so on any wall with more than isolated hairline cracking we recommend a full scratch and brown coat redo rather than patching over a problem that is still there.
Flat and low-slope roofs are common on newer Carefree builds, and the parapet walls that hide them are exactly where stucco and roofing meet. Before any new stucco installation in Carefree goes over a parapet, we confirm the roofer’s flashing and coping cap are done and sealed first, because coating over an unsealed transition just traps water behind the wall instead of keeping it out. We coordinate that handoff directly with your roofing crew rather than assuming it already happened.
We work as a commercial painting contractor in Carefree on retail buildouts, Class A office finish, and other tenant improvement work, staffed and scheduled to match a general contractor’s build timeline rather than a homeowner’s calendar. The material specs, coat counts, and inspection sign-offs on a commercial job differ from a residential one, and our crews are set up to run both without treating a commercial site like a house.
Tycho Solutions is licensed, bonded, and insured under Arizona ROC #364735, and that license covers our house painters in Carefree along with drywall installation in Carefree and the stucco crews on the same job. New construction and major exterior work in Carefree require permits, and we handle that paperwork and inspection scheduling as part of the project instead of leaving it for the homeowner or builder to chase down.
New construction painting in Carefree is most of our work here: we come in during framing and drywall, not after a homeowner has already moved in. That timing lets us sequence interior and exterior coats around the same schedule as electrical, trim, and stucco crews, so the paint scope finishes with the rest of the build instead of trailing behind it as a separate punch-list item.
