Mike returned my call for assistance within a few hours, he inspected the damage from the recent storm and sent me an estimate within hours. The work was completed the next day just ahead of more storms. He explained the entire process and was very professional. I hope I don’t need his services again anytime soon, but would not hesitate to trust the job to his team.

Tycho Solutions recently replaced the original tile roof on our 23 year old residence. We could not be more pleased with their level of professionalism and the quality of work. Mike and Brock were great in explaining the process, the type of materials used, and what to expect. Their crew was cordial, friendly, and efficient. At the end of each day they used a magnetic device to retrieve discarded nails and fasteners, made sure all debris was inside their dumpster, and used a blower to eliminate the inevitable dust that results from replacing a roof. At the end of the project, they did a roof-top inspection of the work to make sure all details were addressed. We felt their pricing was very reasonable with top-notch customer service. We have no hesitation to refer them to friends!

Interior Painting Services in Scottsdale, AZ

Scottsdale mixes 1970s and 80s block-and-stucco ranch homes with contemporary custom builds and new subdivisions finished in synthetic stucco over foam backer. Both sit under eight to ten hours of direct desert sun, and south and west-facing walls chalk, fade, and hairline crack years before the shaded north elevation.

Once a coating chalks through to bare stucco, water tracks in at control joints, parapet caps, and window returns, and the cracks reach the scratch and brown coats underneath. A spot patch just telegraphs through the next paint cycle, so the real fix on an aged wall is a full recoat, or on cementitious stucco past its service life, stripping back to the lath for a new three-coat system.

Premium Painting, Stucco & Drywall Services for Scottsdale’s Prestigious Properties

Built for Desert Sun

We spec high heat exterior systems and elastomeric coatings for Scottsdale’s sun load, and finish stucco and drywall to match the area’s contemporary builds.

Painting and Stucco Work We Do in Scottsdale

Scottsdale’s blend of custom estates, new-build subdivisions and stucco-clad homes needs interior painting, exterior coatings and drywall finishing suited to triple-digit heat, intense UV, and the area’s HOA-governed communities.

New Construction Painting in Scottsdale

On Scottsdale’s new subdivisions and custom-build lots, we prime and finish interior walls, ceilings, and trim before drywall is fully cured, then move to exterior coatings once stucco passes inspection. Crews work off the builder’s paint schedule alongside framers, drywall hangers, and stucco applicators, sequencing coats around Arizona’s summer heat so paint cures correctly instead of flashing or blistering in direct sun.

New Stucco Installation in Scottsdale

For new Scottsdale builds on block and wood frame, we apply a full three-coat stucco system: scratch coat over lath, brown coat for build-out and plane, then a textured finish coat matched to the builder’s or HOA’s approved profile. We coordinate with framers before lath goes up so control joints land where the wall actually needs them, not where they’re convenient.

Stucco Contractor in Scottsdale

As the stucco contractor on record for builders and homeowners across Scottsdale, we scope the full assembly: lath, weep screed, control joints, and finish coat, not just the color coat. On additions and remodels we match existing texture and reveal lines so the new section doesn’t read as a patch against the original wall.

Commercial Painting Contractor in Scottsdale

As the commercial painting contractor on Scottsdale’s Class A office and retail builds, we run interior and exterior paint systems on the general contractor’s schedule, working around electricians, drywall crews, and flooring trades instead of holding up the punch list. We bid off architectural spec sheets and match paint systems to the finish schedule GCs actually issue.

Why Builders and Homeowners Choose Us for Interior Painting in Scottsdale

Scottsdale builders and homeowners bring Tycho in because one licensed crew runs interior paint, exterior coatings, drywall, and stucco on the same schedule, so a general contractor coordinates one trade instead of three, and a homeowner gets one point of contact for the whole exterior system.

Integrated Finishes

Written workmanship warranty on every paint, stucco, and drywall install, backed by manufacturer-backed coating systems built for Scottsdale’s UV and heat load.

Luxury Quality

One crew and one schedule for interior, exterior, stucco, and drywall, coordinated directly with Scottsdale builders and general contractors on new-build timelines.

Desert Proven

Elastomeric coatings and high heat exterior paint systems rated for direct desert sun, applied over Level 4 and Level 5 smooth drywall finishes.

Licensed & Insured

Licensed, bonded, and insured under Arizona’s contractor requirements, covering every interior, exterior, stucco, and drywall crew working in Scottsdale.

Painting and Stucco Across Scottsdale and the Valley

Scottsdale runs from 1960s and 70s block homes with hand-applied traditional three-coat stucco, through 1990s and 2000s stucco-over-frame subdivisions, to contemporary custom builds using synthetic finishes over rigid foam. Each substrate moves, cracks, and absorbs heat differently, so a recoat spec written for one build era can fail on another within a season.

The failure point is rarely the color coat itself. It’s the bond between coats: base coat pulling away from lath on older cementitious walls, or a synthetic finish trapping moisture behind foam backer on newer ones. Both show up first as cracking at window corners, control joints, and where stucco meets roofline or parapet cap, the same low, flat transitions that trap runoff and hold heat.

Scottsdale’s HOA-governed communities and design review boards typically specify color palettes, texture profiles, and sheen levels for any exterior repaint, and several restrict synthetic finishes on older tract stucco to preserve the traditional texture. We pull the approved palette and texture spec before ordering material, so a homeowner doesn’t get a recoat rejected after the crew has already opened the walls.

Common Questions from Scottsdale Homeowners

How much does interior painting in Scottsdale cost?

Interior painting in Scottsdale runs on square footage, surface prep, and finish level, not a flat number, so we walk every room before quoting: patching, primer coats needed over new drywall or existing paint, trim complexity, and cabinet finishing all move the bid. We give a written estimate before any crew shows up, no flat per-square-foot rate quoted blind over the phone.

Any stucco contractor in Scottsdale who’s honest with you will look at where the crack sits before answering. A hairline crack in the finish coat on an otherwise sound wall can sometimes be caulked and recoated. But cracking that follows a control joint, or shows up at multiple corners on one elevation, usually means the base coat has separated from the lath, and a patch there just cracks again soon. At that point we pull that section back to the lath and build a new three-coat system to match.

Yes. Where stucco meets a flat or low-slope roofline, the wall takes runoff and heat that a pitched-roof gable never sees, so the coping cap, the flashing behind it, and the stucco right below it are the first things that fail. If that transition has already cracked or the cap is leaking, patching the stucco alone won’t hold; it usually calls for new stucco installation in Scottsdale at that section along with corrected flashing, not just a fresh coat of paint over the crack.

We work as the commercial painting contractor in Scottsdale on Class A office, retail, and mixed-use construction, running interior and exterior paint systems on the general contractor’s schedule rather than an open-ended timeline. That means bidding off architectural finish schedules, sequencing around electrical and flooring trades, and matching specified paint systems and sheen levels across multi-tenant spaces, not the same one-crew, one-house approach we use on residential jobs.

Yes, every crew is under Tycho’s Arizona ROC #364735, licensed, bonded, and insured, and that license covers interior work, exterior painting in Scottsdale, stucco, and drywall alike. Permit-wise, a straightforward repaint or recoat typically doesn’t need a City of Scottsdale permit, but drywall installation in Scottsdale that involves moving or adding walls, or a stucco job that changes the building envelope, usually does. We pull permits on any project that needs one as part of the job, not as an add-on.

Most of our work is new construction painting in Scottsdale for builders and developers, custom home crews, and new subdivisions, scheduled off the builder’s framing and drywall timeline rather than a homeowner’s calendar. We also take on existing homes that need a full exterior recoat or interior repaint, but the crew, materials, and license stay the same either way.
