Mike returned my call for assistance within a few hours, he inspected the damage from the recent storm and sent me an estimate within hours. The work was completed the next day just ahead of more storms. He explained the entire process and was very professional. I hope I don’t need his services again anytime soon, but would not hesitate to trust the job to his team.Posted on Google![]()

Tycho Solutions recently replaced the original tile roof on our 23 year old residence. We could not be more pleased with their level of professionalism and the quality of work. Mike and Brock were great in explaining the process, the type of materials used, and what to expect. Their crew was cordial, friendly, and efficient. At the end of each day they used a magnetic device to retrieve discarded nails and fasteners, made sure all debris was inside their dumpster, and used a blower to eliminate the inevitable dust that results from replacing a roof. At the end of the project, they did a roof-top inspection of the work to make sure all details were addressed. We felt their pricing was very reasonable with top-notch customer service. We have no hesitation to refer them to friends!
Gilbert’s growth from a farm town into one of the Valley’s largest suburbs means its housing stock is almost entirely stucco over wood frame, built across three decades of expansion east and south. A single street can mix a 1990s single story home due for its second or third recoat with a spec build finished last year still on its first paint cycle, and elevation, not just age, drives how soon each one needs attention.
South and west elevations take the most direct sun and lose their coating first, chalking and fading years ahead of shaded walls. Monsoon wind driven rain finds any hairline crack at a control joint or window return and works behind the finish, which is why a full recoat beats a spot patch once cracking spreads past one wall.
We spec elastomeric coatings and full stucco recoats rated for direct Gilbert sun, not spot patches that crack open again by next monsoon season.
Tycho Solutions installs interior painting, exterior painting, drywall and stucco finishes for new construction and whole-home projects throughout Gilbert, matching the town’s fast-growing housing stock and desert climate demands.
Builders bring us onto Gilbert framing schedules to prime and paint interior drywall before flooring and trim go in, and to apply exterior color coats once stucco cures. We work off the builder’s punch list and color schedule across a full phase of homes, not one unit at a time, so closings do not wait on a painting subcontractor.
On new Gilbert builds we run the full three coat system, lath, scratch coat, brown coat and finish coat, timed to follow framing and window install before painters start. Texture and color are matched to the builder’s spec sheet, and we coordinate directly with the framing and window crews so stucco does not hold up the rest of the schedule.
We hang, tape and finish drywall on new Gilbert construction and remodels, running Level 4 smooth finish as standard and Level 5 on open great rooms and stairwells where raking light shows every seam. Corners, soffits and bulkheads get finished before texture and paint, so the crew behind us is not fixing joints under a fresh coat.
We handle interior and exterior painting for Gilbert’s retail centers, office buildings and tenant improvements, working around lease turnover and business hours rather than a homeowner’s calendar. Exterior work on commercial stucco and EIFS assemblies gets the same elastomeric coatings we spec on residential builds, sized for a much larger wall area.
Gilbert builders and homeowners bring us in because one crew handles interior color, exterior coatings, drywall and stucco under a single schedule, licensed under ROC #364735. That keeps a new build or a full repaint moving without three separate trade calendars to coordinate.
Every stucco and paint job carries a written workmanship warranty, so a coating failure on a Gilbert home gets fixed, not re-quoted.
One project manager tracks paint, drywall and stucco crews across a Gilbert build, so builder schedules and homeowner walkthroughs land on the same date.
We spec elastomeric and acrylic coatings rated for direct desert exposure, not the lowest bid product a Gilbert flip crew would grab.
Fully licensed, bonded and insured under ROC #364735, so a Gilbert homeowner or builder is covered on every stucco and paint job.
The failure point is almost never the wall itself, it’s the finish coat and the transitions: control joints, window returns, and the seam where stucco meets foam trim or a garage door frame. Acrylic topcoats chalk and lose adhesion under direct sun well before the scratch and brown coats beneath them give out, and once a hairline crack opens at a joint, monsoon wind driven rain pushes moisture behind the coating on every storm after that.
Many Gilbert developments run design review committees that lock exterior colors to an approved palette and require sign off before a repaint, which narrows sheen and color choices more than the substrate does. We pull the approved palette before bidding a repaint so the color match clears review on the first submission, not the third.

One crew covers interior paint, exterior coatings, drywall and stucco on a Gilbert build, so no gaps between trades.
Elastomeric coatings and full stucco systems spec’d for direct desert sun, not the cheapest product on the truck.
One schedule for paint, drywall and stucco keeps a Gilbert project on the date and budget the client signed off on.
Cost depends on square footage, ceiling height, how many coats the existing color needs to cover, and how much prep and patching the walls need before paint goes on. Exterior painting in Gilbert adds elevation count, stucco condition and sun exposure to that list. We walk the property and give a written number based on what we actually see, not a phone estimate.
One isolated hairline crack on a shaded wall can sometimes be sealed and painted over. Once cracking shows on more than one elevation, or keeps coming back after a patch, that is a coating and substrate problem, not a caulk problem, and it is worth a full recoat instead of another patch. Our house painters in Gilbert check every elevation before quoting either option, so you are not guessing which one you actually need.
Yes. Parapet walls on flat and low-slope homes take reflected heat off the roof membrane on top of direct sun on the wall face, so the coating on those walls works harder than a standard pitched-roof elevation. On a new stucco installation in Gilbert with a flat roofline we spec a heavier elastomeric coating on the parapet caps specifically, since that is where water sits longest after a monsoon storm.
Both. We paint and coat retail centers, offices and mixed use buildings going up across Gilbert’s commercial corridors, usually on a tenant improvement or base building schedule set by the developer or property manager. Commercial jobs run on business hours and lease dates rather than a homeowner’s timeline, and we scope surface area and access, not just square footage, since a two story retail facade prices differently than a single story strip center wall.
Yes, Tycho Solutions is licensed, bonded and insured under Arizona ROC #364735, and we pull the permits Gilbert requires for new construction drywall and stucco scopes, including the inspections tied to fire rated assemblies and exterior wall coverings. Drywall installation in Gilbert on new builds gets inspected at rough stage before texture goes on, and we schedule around that inspection rather than around our own crew’s convenience.
Yes. New construction painting in Gilbert is most of what we do: priming and finishing interior drywall ahead of flooring, then exterior color coats once stucco cures, phased across a builder’s release rather than one house at a time. We work off the builder’s color schedule and punch list, and we coordinate directly with the framing, drywall and stucco crews already on site so painters are never the reason a closing slips.
