Mike returned my call for assistance within a few hours, he inspected the damage from the recent storm and sent me an estimate within hours. The work was completed the next day just ahead of more storms. He explained the entire process and was very professional. I hope I don’t need his services again anytime soon, but would not hesitate to trust the job to his team.Posted on Google![]()

Tycho Solutions recently replaced the original tile roof on our 23 year old residence. We could not be more pleased with their level of professionalism and the quality of work. Mike and Brock were great in explaining the process, the type of materials used, and what to expect. Their crew was cordial, friendly, and efficient. At the end of each day they used a magnetic device to retrieve discarded nails and fasteners, made sure all debris was inside their dumpster, and used a blower to eliminate the inevitable dust that results from replacing a roof. At the end of the project, they did a roof-top inspection of the work to make sure all details were addressed. We felt their pricing was very reasonable with top-notch customer service. We have no hesitation to refer them to friends!

San Tan Valley’s newer developments sit on caliche and decomposed granite that drains poorly once monsoon rain hits a yard with no grading plan. Builders leave the lot at rough grade, so water pools against the slab instead of moving away from the foundation, and untreated dirt turns to dust in the summer wind.
Add triple-digit heat for five months a year and a lot size that dwarfs older East Valley yards, and an incremental, one-section-at-a-time approach falls apart fast. The fix is a full site plan: proper grading, a compacted base under any turf or paver zone, and drainage routed away from the house before a single material goes down.
Every San Tan Valley backyard project starts with a grading and drainage plan, then a compacted base under the turf or pavers, not the other way around.
From artificial turf installation to full backyard construction, our San Tan Valley team builds outdoor spaces suited to the area’s newer, larger lots and unincorporated Pinal County permitting.
An outdoor kitchen on a San Tan Valley lot needs a gas or electric run planned before the slab pours, plus shade positioned against the afternoon sun. We build the concrete pad, run utilities, and set the grill island, counter, and storage so it holds up to summer heat and monsoon dust without cracking or fading over time.
We handle the full backyard as one project rather than separate trades: grading, turf or paver zones, plant beds, and irrigation laid out together so nothing gets torn up and redone later. On San Tan Valley’s larger lots that means a plan that accounts for HOA sightline rules, drainage, and the eventual pergola or kitchen footprint from day one.
San Tan Valley’s larger lots often carry a second driveway pad or side-yard access built for a boat, RV, or trailer, and that concrete or paver work needs the same graded base and drainage plan as the rest of the yard. We also build seat walls, fire features, and lit walkways as part of a full hardscape package, sized to the lot rather than a standard city-lot layout.
A pergola on a San Tan Valley lot needs a footing deep enough to handle both the structure’s wind load and the region’s expansive soil, especially on a freestanding design set away from the house. We build both attached and freestanding pergolas, size the rafter spacing for the shade coverage you actually want, and position the structure to pair with an adjoining patio or outdoor kitchen rather than sitting as an isolated feature.
Builders and homeowners in San Tan Valley call us because we plan the grading and drainage before any turf or paver goes down, so the yard performs through monsoon season and summer heat instead of settling or pooling water within the first year.
Turf materials carry a 15-year manufacturer warranty, backed by a 2-year workmanship warranty on every San Tan Valley install.
One crew handles grading, base compaction, and material installation on your San Tan Valley lot, so nothing waits on a second contractor.
UV-stabilized synthetic turf and compacted aggregate bases built for San Tan Valley’s caliche soil and long summer heat load.
Fully licensed, bonded, and insured under Arizona ROC #364735, with Pinal County permitting handled as part of the project.
San Tan Valley’s housing stock is almost entirely newer construction on lots larger than what you’ll find closer to Phoenix, which means most backyards we work on start as builder-grade dirt or gravel rather than an older lawn that needs replacing. That extra square footage is an opportunity, but it also means more ground to grade correctly and more drainage to plan for before any turf, pavers, or structures go in.
The part of a backyard build that determines whether it lasts is the base beneath it, not the surface material. Skip the compacted aggregate under a paver patio or synthetic turf field and the surface will shift, pool water, or heave within a season once Pinal County’s clay-heavy pockets and caliche layers absorb monsoon rain unevenly. We excavate to grade, compact in lifts, and route drainage away from the foundation before turf, pavers, or a pergola footing ever goes in.
Many HOAs in San Tan Valley set design guidelines that govern fence height, visible hardscape materials, and turf appearance from the street, so we confirm those rules before finalizing material choices on a full remodel. That review also covers unincorporated Pinal County permitting requirements for structures like pergolas and outdoor kitchens, which differ from requirements in the incorporated cities closer to Phoenix.

Every backyard remodel in San Tan Valley is priced against the specific site, since lot size, existing grade, and how much of the yard is bare dirt versus already landscaped all change the scope. A yard needing full excavation and drainage work costs more than one that just needs turf and paver zones added to an already-graded lot. We walk the site and price the actual work rather than quoting a flat number over the phone.
We focus on full artificial turf installation in San Tan Valley and complete paver patio installation in San Tan Valley rather than isolated section work, because a failing zone usually means the base underneath was never compacted correctly, and that problem does not stay contained to one spot. Replacing the affected section properly means excavating back to a good base, which often makes more sense as part of a broader backyard remodel than as a standalone job.
Yes, and on a sloping San Tan Valley lot it matters more than usual. As your hardscape contractor in San Tan Valley, we regrade the yard so water moves away from the foundation before any turf, pavers, or structure goes in, sometimes with a low retaining wall or a dry creek bed to manage runoff during monsoon storms. Skipping that step is the most common reason a new backyard fails within the first year.
Both. We work directly with builders and developers as the backyard landscaping contractor in San Tan Valley for new-construction projects, and with individual homeowners on existing lots. That includes serving as the outdoor kitchen builder in San Tan Valley and the pergola builder in San Tan Valley on builder packages as well as one-off homeowner projects, so the scope and sequencing stay the same whether the home is brand new or several years old.
Most structural work here goes through unincorporated Pinal County rather than a city building department, and requirements vary by structure type, so we pull whatever permit applies before starting a pergola, an outdoor kitchen structure, or major grading. We’re licensed, bonded, and insured under Arizona ROC #364735, and permitting is handled as part of the project rather than left for the homeowner to sort out.
Yes, and it’s one of the more popular requests we get for putting green installation in San Tan Valley, since the larger lots here leave enough flat space for a real practice surface instead of a token strip of green along the fence line. We shape the green independently from the rest of the yard, so it can go in during a full remodel or added later without disturbing existing turf or pavers.
