Mike returned my call for assistance within a few hours, he inspected the damage from the recent storm and sent me an estimate within hours. The work was completed the next day just ahead of more storms. He explained the entire process and was very professional. I hope I don’t need his services again anytime soon, but would not hesitate to trust the job to his team.

Tycho Solutions recently replaced the original tile roof on our 23 year old residence. We could not be more pleased with their level of professionalism and the quality of work. Mike and Brock were great in explaining the process, the type of materials used, and what to expect. Their crew was cordial, friendly, and efficient. At the end of each day they used a magnetic device to retrieve discarded nails and fasteners, made sure all debris was inside their dumpster, and used a blower to eliminate the inevitable dust that results from replacing a roof. At the end of the project, they did a roof-top inspection of the work to make sure all details were addressed. We felt their pricing was very reasonable with top-notch customer service. We have no hesitation to refer them to friends!

Desert Landscaping for Apache Junction

Artificial Turf Installation in Apache Junction

Artificial Turf & Paver Installation in Apache Junction, AZ

Apache Junction mixes older single-story homes on modest in-town lots with newer construction on larger acreage parcels toward the outlying areas. Most older lots still carry the original grass-and-gravel backyard with no real drainage plan, and the newer acreage parcels typically arrive as raw dirt with no landscaping at all. Most of our work here starts from bare ground, not an upgrade to something already built.

The valley’s low elevation pushes surface heat on unshaded patios and thin turf backing past its rated range, so base depth, infill weight, and treated structural posts matter more here than in cooler parts of the Valley. A full backyard rebuild engineered for this ground holds up for years; a shortcut fix on the same soil fails again in the same spot.

Engineered for Compacted Desert Soil

We excavate to real sub-grade depth, compact in lifts, and set structural posts below grade before any turf, paver, or pergola work begins.

Backyard Work We Design and Build in Apache Junction

From artificial turf and paver patios to pergolas and putting greens, we build complete outdoor living spaces engineered for Apache Junction’s low-desert heat and larger residential lots.

Apache Junction residents understand Arizona’s desert landscaping reality. Traditional grass simply doesn’t work here. Summer heat kills your lawn, water restrictions limit irrigation, and your water bill becomes astronomical during peak season. Meanwhile, you spend weekends mowing and fertilizing a struggling yard.

Outdoor Kitchen Builder in Apache Junction

An outdoor kitchen on an Apache Junction lot needs more than a grill island, it needs shade, wind protection from open desert exposure, and gas or electrical runs planned before the slab goes in. We build masonry or steel-frame kitchen structures with weather-rated cabinetry, stone or concrete countertops rated for direct sun, and venting for built-in grills, sized to the larger lots common in this part of the Valley.

Backyard Landscaping Contractor in Apache Junction

As a backyard landscaping contractor working Apache Junction’s larger residential lots, we plan turf zones, planting beds, and hardscape as one connected layout instead of separate add-ons. That means irrigation, drainage, and grading get mapped before any material orders go in, so the finished yard drains correctly and each zone, lawn, patio, or garden bed, holds up on this area’s compacted native soil.

Hardscape Contractor in Apache Junction

Hardscape work on Apache Junction properties often covers more than a patio: retaining walls on sloped lots near the foothills, extended driveways on acreage parcels, and walkways connecting separate structures across a bigger footprint. We excavate to real sub-grade depth, compact base material in lifts, and set drainage before any paver, block, or poured feature goes in, so the hardscape holds its line through monsoon season.

Pergola Builder in Apache Junction

A pergola builder working in Apache Junction has to plan for real wind load and full desert sun, not just style. We set structural posts on poured footings below grade, frame for either an open lattice or a solid shade roof depending on how much relief you need, and orient the structure to your home’s existing sun exposure and rooflines rather than a standard catalog layout.

Why Builders and Homeowners Choose Us for Artificial Turf Installation in Apache Junction

Builders and homeowners across Apache Junction bring us projects that combine several trades under one contract, turf, hardscape, and shade structures scheduled together instead of three separate crews working around each other. One license covers the excavation, the structural work, and the finish materials, so the sequencing is ours to manage, not yours.

Pet & Family Friendly

Base work and structural installs carry a warranty, so settling turf or a shifting paver base gets addressed here as workmanship, not a surprise bill.

USA-Made Turf

One project manager sequences excavation, hardscape, and structural crews on your Apache Junction lot, so trades are not waiting on each other for weeks.

Proper Base Prep

We spec commercial-grade turf backing, paver systems rated for expansive soil, and treated structural lumber built for this valley’s sun, not big-box stock.

Licensed & Insured

Every backyard build here runs under Arizona ROC #364735, fully bonded and insured, from initial excavation through final grading and cleanup.

Backyard Construction Across Apache Junction and Pinal County

Apache Junction mixes older single-story homes on modest in-town lots with newer construction on much larger acreage parcels toward the outlying areas. Most of the older lots still carry the original grass-and-gravel backyard with no real drainage plan, and the newer acreage parcels typically arrive as raw dirt with no landscaping at all. Most of our work here starts from bare ground, not an upgrade to something already built.

Across both lot types, the part that fails first is rarely the visible surface, it is the base underneath it. Turf that ripples or pavers that rock loose almost always trace back to a sub-base that was not compacted in proper lifts before installation, a shortcut that shows up fast in this area’s expansive, slow-draining soil. Pergola and ramada posts set too shallow move in monsoon wind and heave through the yearly wet-dry cycle.

Homeowners associations covering parts of Apache Junction commonly restrict turf color range, pile height, and visible seam placement, and cap pergola or ramada height and roofline pitch to keep additions consistent with the home. Some also regulate paver and hardscape color palettes to match approved exterior tones. We pull the relevant HOA guidelines before finalizing material selections so the design clears architectural review on the first submission.

Common Questions from Apache Junction Homeowners

What determines the cost of artificial turf installation in Apache Junction?

Cost comes down to square footage, how much excavation and base rock the existing soil needs, and the turf grade you choose, pile height, backing weight, and infill type all move the number. Larger Apache Junction lots often need more base material than a typical East Valley yard just to cover the ground properly. Because pricing depends on the site, most homeowners work with a backyard landscaping contractor in Apache Junction who can walk the yard and price the actual job rather than a generic estimate.

A few pavers can be lifted and reset if the base underneath is still solid, but most of the sunken patios we see here have base failure spread wider than the visible dip. Resetting a handful just moves the problem over a few feet. A full paver patio installation in Apache Junction, built on properly compacted base rock, is the more honest long-term answer once the soil underneath has already shifted.

Yes, and it is one of the more common issues we correct here. A yard with no natural grade needs engineered slope built into the base, under turf and around paver edges, to move water away from the foundation instead of pooling against it. A hardscape contractor in Apache Junction who skips that grading step sets up standing water against the house, which shows up later as cracked pavers or moisture at the foundation.

Both. Property managers and HOAs bring us common-area amenities the same way homeowners bring us backyards, turf fields, seating patios, and shade structures sized for shared use rather than one household. If you manage a property looking for an outdoor kitchen builder in Apache Junction for a clubhouse or amenity space, the planning process is the same: real base work, real drainage, and permitting handled before construction starts.

We hold Arizona ROC #364735 and carry bonding and insurance on every backyard project, including work as a pergola builder in Apache Junction where structures over a certain size or height typically need a permit. Retaining walls above a certain height and any electrical or gas work for an outdoor kitchen usually need one too. We handle the permit application and inspection scheduling as part of the build, so you are not tracking down city paperwork yourself.

Most of the work we do here is a complete backyard remodel in Apache Junction that combines turf, pavers, and a shade structure into one build instead of three separate purchases over separate years. A putting green installation in Apache Junction is one of the features that comes up often in these full remodels, homeowners who golf want practice space built in rather than added on later, and it is easier to plan drainage and turf zones together from the start.
