Tycho Solutions handles spray foam insulation in Gilbert, AZ, on new builds and retrofits. Complete envelopes specified to the assembly, not topped up.

Gilbert’s housing stock spans fast-growth production homes from the 1990s and early 2000s, larger two-story houses from the 2010s with more complex roof lines, and infill and custom builds going up on the south and east edges. Older attics were insulated to the code minimum of their decade and never touched again.
Newer ones have deeper truss cavities but more can lights, HVAC boots, and wiring chases for a batt to work around. Either way, what’s up there is rarely doing the job it was rated for, and that shows up as a summer electric bill that climbs every July.
We measure existing R-value and attic ventilation before we quote, then bring the whole system, batts, blown-in, or spray foam, up to current code.
From spray foam and attic upgrades to batt, blown-in, and full-property insulation work, Tycho Solutions builds and replaces insulation systems for new construction and established homes across Gilbert.
On new Gilbert construction, we apply spray foam during framing, before drywall closes the walls. Open cell and closed cell formulas seal rim joists, top plates, and the wall cavity between the garage and living space, cutting the air leakage that drives cooling costs during Gilbert’s long summer heat.
For Gilbert attics, whether a newly framed truss space or a full upgrade on an older home, we set insulation depth to hit code R-values, install baffles at the eaves to keep soffit vents clear, and mark depth with rulers so the job passes inspection on the first visit.
In new Gilbert construction, we cut and fit fiberglass batts by hand into wall cavities around outlets, wiring, and plumbing for a full width, full depth fit with no gaps or compression, since a compressed batt gives up much of its rated R-value.
We blow loose-fill cellulose or fiberglass into open attic spaces with a hopper and hose, working corner to corner so depth stays even across the whole floor, including the tight eaves where batts leave gaps. It is fast, effective coverage for open attic spaces in Gilbert homes.
As a licensed Gilbert insulation contractor, we work directly with builders and homeowners from the framing stage through final inspection, coordinating every insulation type a project needs, spray foam, batt, blown-in, and radiant barrier, under one schedule instead of separate trade calls.
Before we install new material in an established Gilbert home, we remove what is there: compressed batts, settled blown-in, or insulation damaged by pests or moisture. Old material is vacuumed or bagged out, clearing the space for a full upgrade instead of layering new over old.

Mike returned my call for assistance within a few hours, he inspected the damage from the recent storm and sent me an estimate within hours. The work was completed the next day just ahead of more storms. He explained the entire process and was very professional. I hope I don’t need his services again anytime soon, but would not hesitate to trust the job to his team.Posted on Google![]()

Tycho Solutions recently replaced the original tile roof on our 23 year old residence. We could not be more pleased with their level of professionalism and the quality of work. Mike and Brock were great in explaining the process, the type of materials used, and what to expect. Their crew was cordial, friendly, and efficient. At the end of each day they used a magnetic device to retrieve discarded nails and fasteners, made sure all debris was inside their dumpster, and used a blower to eliminate the inevitable dust that results from replacing a roof. At the end of the project, they did a roof-top inspection of the work to make sure all details were addressed. We felt their pricing was very reasonable with top-notch customer service. We have no hesitation to refer them to friends!
Gilbert builders bring us in during framing because we coordinate insulation with the electrician and drywall crew instead of working around them later. Homeowners call after an energy audit or a summer power bill that doesn’t add up, and we scope the whole attic system, not just the thin spot they noticed.
Every insulation install carries a written workmanship warranty, so a Gilbert attic that settles or shifts after a monsoon season gets fixed, not re-billed.
On new Gilbert builds we schedule around framing and drywall crews so insulation goes in on the day the job calls for it, not late.
We spec open and closed cell foam, code-rated batts, and loose fill rated for Gilbert’s attic temperatures, not whatever is cheapest that week.

The failure point is almost always the attic floor, not the walls. Gilbert summers push unventilated attic air past 140 degrees, and that cycling flattens fiberglass and cellulose over a decade or two. Packrats and roof rats, common on lots backing up to a wash or open desert, displace loose fill before the R-value drops. Spray foam at the roof deck sidesteps both problems, but on an existing home that means working from inside the attic, not a quick top-up.
Gilbert’s HOAs mostly stay out of what’s inside the attic, but they weigh in on anything visible from the street. A radiant barrier goes on the underside of the roof deck, so it doesn’t change the exterior and rarely needs design approval. Add a ridge or gable vent to fix airflow, though, and some communities want the style and color matched to the approved roof material first.

We insulate complete attics and wall systems on new Gilbert construction, not single rooms or spot patches.
We schedule insulation around framing, electrical, and drywall on Gilbert job sites so nothing gets closed in early.
Gilbert framing and drywall schedules don’t wait, so we hit the insulation window builders and homeowners plan around.
Cost depends on square footage, attic access, existing material that has to come out first, and whether you’re adding batts, blown-in, or spray foam. A home needing full removal of settled or pest-damaged insulation before a reinstall costs more than a straightforward top-up on an attic that’s already clean. We measure the attic and quote the actual scope rather than a flat number that doesn’t account for what’s really up there.
Patching one bare spot while the rest of the attic is decades old and compressed just buys a little time before the next thin spot shows up. Once insulation has lost loft across most of the attic, a full-system approach, removing what’s failed and bringing the whole space up to current R-value, costs less over the life of the house than a string of partial fixes.
Flat and low-slope sections, casitas, patio additions, and commercial buildings with built-up or foam roofing, don’t have a traditional vented attic to blow insulation into. We insulate at the roof deck instead, usually with closed-cell spray foam applied directly under the roofing membrane, which also cuts down on the radiant heat that a flat roof takes on all day.
Yes. As a commercial insulation contractor in Gilbert, we work on retail buildouts, office shells, and light industrial buildings alongside the general contractors and builders on those projects, insulating walls, roof decks, and demising walls to the specs the plans call for. Most of that work happens during buildout, before ceiling grid or drywall closes the space in.
Tycho Solutions holds Arizona ROC #364735 and pulls permits as required for the scope of work, which on most insulation jobs means an inspection tied to the broader building or remodel permit rather than a standalone insulation permit. On new construction the insulation inspection happens before drywall, and we coordinate that inspection with the builder’s schedule so it doesn’t hold up the job.
Radiant barrier installation in Gilbert makes the biggest difference on west and south facing roof slopes, where a foil-faced barrier stapled to the underside of the rafters or draped over existing insulation reflects radiant heat back out before it ever reaches the attic floor. It won’t replace R-value insulation, but paired with proper batt or blown-in depth, it takes real load off an attic that’s already running hot most of the year.
